life and career
Early life and career (1984–2005)
Her mother, Vandana Phadnis Lokhande, was a teacher and her father, Shashikant Lokhande, was a businessman. Lokhande was born on December 19, 1984 in Indore, India to a Maratha family.
Additionally, she has a sister named Jyoti as well as two brothers named Sooraj and Arun. She moved to Mumbai in 2005 immediately after graduation to pursue an acting profession.
Rise to stardom and personal life (2009–2016)
Lokhande won the lead role of Archana in Ekta Kapoor’s daily soap opera Pavitra Rishta after competing in India’s top cinemas Ki Khoj (2004–2005). The competition was organized in India (2009-2014).
She participated in the fourth season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as well as the comedy show Comedy Circus, and she also appeared in an episode of Ek Thi Naayka.
Pavitra Rishta skipped a generation in 2013, and from that year until the series ended in 2014, Lokhande played both Archana and Archana’s granddaughter Ankita. After that, she returned to her role as Archana.

After taking a two-year hiatus and ending her relationship with Sushant Rajput, there were rumors that Ankita Lokhande would make her film debut in period drama Padmaavat, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali (2018). Nonetheless, she dropped out of the film, citing that she was not yet prepared for the screen.
The following year, rumors began circulating that she had been cast in Girish Malik’s next film, Torbaaz, which also starred Sanjay Dutt. On the other hand, Malik’s assertion that Lokhande will not be involved in the production of the film disproved the rumors that were circulating. In 2018, she announced that she would star as Jhalkaribai, a warrior, in Krish and Kangana Ranaut’s directing joint venture, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, an epic drama based on the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai. Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is based on the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai. The film premiered in theaters on the eve of Republic Day 2019, and it was a huge financial success at the box office, marking the director’s first major financial achievement.
Next, Lokhande starred in the action-packed production of Sajid Nadiadwala Baaghi 3 (2020), the third part of the Baaghi Trilogy, alongside Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh, playing the role of Kapoor’s older sister married to the character of Deshmukh. Baaghi 3 is the third part of the Baaghi trilogy. The film was released before cinemas in India were forced to close due to the COVID-19 outbreak, which contributed to the picture’s poor box office performance.
In 2021, she appeared alongside Shaheer Sheikh in the web series Pavitra Rishta 2.0, in which she once again played the role of Archana.

In 2019, she revealed that she was romantically involved with businessman Vicky Jain. They got married on December 14, 2021 in the city of Mumbai. She and her husband, Vicky Jain, competed on StarPlus’ Smart Jodi in February 2022, and they ended up taking first place in the competition’s inaugural season.
