Anthony Mackie has come a long way in his career, having gained massive fame due to his role as Falcon in the MCU, which has now evolved into none other than Captain America himself. The actor may now be a huge superhero icon, but when asked if he’d like to play another superhero outside of the franchise, the actor didn’t shy away from answering.
Mackie, a hero both on and off screen, has truly exceeded any expectation one might have of him. From fixing roofs on Saturdays to saving multiple homes from hurricane disasters, the actor has gone out of his way to help as many people as possible.

Anthony Mackie’s Superhero Wish
Anthony Mackie may be the Captain America of the current era, but what he really wants to be is Panthro. ThunderCats.
“If I could play another superhero, it would be Panthro from ThunderCats, the blue guy. Yeah, I’m a ThunderCats fan, he’s my only superhero.
The actor said he’s a fan of the show and the blue cat is one of his favorites. Although he mentioned that if he had the chance, he would have loved playing The Hulk as he had always wanted to play the Green Avenger.

Anthony Mackie is a real-life superhero
The hurricanes affecting New Orleans, Anthony Mackie’s hometown, are of growing concern to everyone, including the actor himself. Since he was a child, Mackie had repaired roofs with his father in the 7th Ward of New Orleans. General Aniline & Film, better known as GAF, decided to partner with the actor to repair 500 roofs in the city, starting with Anthony Mackie’s neighborhood, the 7th district.
“GAF trains young people in roofing trades so that one day they can provide for their families or give a helping hand when needed. And if there is another disaster, we as a community can step in and help each other.
Rooftops covered in blue tarps are a common thing to see while flying over the city that Mackie wants to change, because although many cannot afford the proper housing roofs, the actor can solve such a problem with this move. From old roofs to new ones, Anthony Mackie wants to help the people he grew up with, show his family how far he’s come as an actor and as a person.
