Ryan Reynolds recently took to social media to make a huge announcement about Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine in the former’s upcoming film, Dead Pool 3, and fans have never been happier. Just Tuesday, Reynolds shared a video of himself on Twitter in which, while sharing some quick updates on the film, Jackman is seen entering the video very sneakily before they announce both the news to the fans.
Now that Wolverine’s return has become official, people are dying of questions they care about. But luckily, the two stars thought better than to keep their fans waiting and got straight to work uploading another video to Twitter, covering all the imperative details on Dead Pool 3.
Only they do it with a little personal touch.

Hugh Jackman had played the classic role of Wolverine in the x-men movies for over a decade. But after nine incredible films, his character was last shown in 2017, in James Mangold’s Logan, at the end of which Wolverine sadly died. Following this, Jackman announced that he would no longer be playing the character, further cementing Wolverine’s death.

So, Wolverine’s death had been pretty official. So far, it’s because he’ll be back in Reynold’s new movie. How is it possible? Well, that’s exactly what the two actors point out in their recent Twitter video. Or not.
Reynolds tweeted an update on the new Deadpool movie that features Jackman’s Wolverine, which read “a quick explainer video that goes into… 1) Timeline questions 2) Canon Logan 3) MCU FAQ 4) May we be doing this all day day or not.”
While the caption sounds promising enough, if their playfulness was any indicator, fans would know better than to expect to receive movie details on a silver platter.

The video begins with the actors waving to their viewers as Jackman says, “Hi. How are you?” Only for Reynolds to continue as he points out the obvious. “You have questions,” he said hopefully, implying to answer them quickly.
Jackman goes on to add that he himself had questions about certain aspects of the film. “I had a lot of questions. I’m sure you had a lot of questions. But don’t worry, we’ll answer it right away. Like, for example, how is Wolverine alive, after Logan“, said Jackman, indicating the death of his character in the 2017 film.

One would expect an easy ride from now on with them finally telling their fans what they’ve been dying to know. But we didn’t know it, life is unfair.
Reynold picks up the slack as he skims the subject a bit, “Logan takes place in 2029. Totally separate thing. Logan died in Logan. Without touching that.
“What happens in our movie is that these two fucking guys…”, but before he can continue, Wake me up before you go by Bang! begins playing in the background, completely drowning out Reynold and Jackman’s voices as they pretend to talk about all the important things associated with Dead Pool 3. Yeah, it happened. And just as they finish talking, the music stops too.

Both end the video by thanking Kevin Feige and the MCU, shortly after the music resumes with snapshots of the actors floating in the background.
As disappointing as it may seem, it was also hilarious to see Reynolds and Jackman teasing their fans about their upcoming movie. But I hope they won’t test their fans’ patience too much.
Dead Pool 3 will be released in theaters on September 6, 2024.
