Maya was raised alongside her brother Thomas Jr. in San Antonio, by their father Thomas Sr. who is a personal injury attorney, and their mother Azteca who is a former model – most recently, on September 3, 2020, Azteca has asked for a divorce.
Maya became interested in modeling while attending elementary school, as she and her classmates often watched movies and TV series and read women’s magazines. She became physically active upon enrolling in high school, as she played soccer and was also a member of the school’s drama club, appearing in many plays performed there. In 2014 Liam became the manager of Hampton Music Limited, and two years later started working as a music producer under the name Payno or Big Payno. In October 2016 he signed a contract with Republic Records and released his first solo single, “Strip That Down” on May 19, 2017 – the song was written by Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac and was a big hit, reaching the top ten songs on the Billboard 200 chart. Liam released two more singles “Bedroom Floor” and “Get Low”, and followed in April 2018 with the single “Familiar”. Her debut EP “First Time” was released on August 24, 2018, while her debut album “LP1” was released on December 6, 2019, but to mostly negative reviews.
Liam is also a philanthropist and supporter of UNICEF, as he recently said he supports the Black Lives Matter movement – he and Maya attended the London Black Lives Matter protest together.
