The return of the ever-charismatic Hugh Jackman, who you can just call James Howlett at this point, as Wolverine was probably the most exciting news Marvel fans were honored with this week. Better yet, the character of Jackman will also make his official MCU debut in an upcoming MCU movie!
Wolverine will step into the vast world of the MCU as the character is set to make a cameo in the upcoming Ryan Reynolds-led film deadpool 3, which is part of phase six of the MCU. But there’s one glaring question fans are asking regarding Jackman’s return, was he forced to play the character against his will?

Wolverine Return was Hugh Jackman’s idea
The end of 2017 Logan Surely remind Marvel fans that they won’t be getting the X-Men character in a live-action movie again, let alone Hugh Jackman playing the character again.
But the latest good news about Jackman’s Wolverine, and better yet, returning to the MCU has been a breath of fresh air for Marvel fans.
Regardless of his return, fans wondered why and how Jackman agreed to play Wolverine again. Even after what was to be his final appearance as James Howlett in Logan, a superhero movie that has been hailed as one of the best superhero movies.

Speculation began to surface that Kevin Feige was the prime suspect in demanding Jackman’s return, which got a bit crazier as fans believed Feige had forced the 53-year-old star back into the role.
But that’s just not the case, and Jackman himself confirms this. Speaking to Uncrazed, the Wretched The star was asked how he was convinced to reprise his most popular character, to which he said-
“Come on! I make my own decisions”
The actor further reassured fans that everything was “good”exclaiming that he was delighted to have him back.
It’s a pretty interesting development in the Wolverine star’s career. Will Jackman play the character in more than one movie? No idea, but we hope it stays a long time!

There seems to be a universally accepted appreciation for Jackman as Wolverine, and him as a person in general. The Prisoners star will surely shake his claws Dead Pool 3and we couldn’t be less excited.
