Early life and education
SoLLUMINATI was raised as an only child in Detroit by his father who was a lawyer and his mother who worked as an accountant.
His father is a huge basketball fan and SoLLUMINATI started watching games on television with him from an early age. He started practicing the game with his friends on the streets at the age of eight, while he also started playing it in his elementary school, and soon joined the school team. He then attended a local high school where he played basketball for the school team, while also playing soccer and tennis. After enrolling in 2012, SoLLUMINATI enrolled at Odessa College before moving on to Eastern Michigan University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2016.
SoLLUMINATI launched its YouTube channel on July 7, 2012, but only started uploading videos to it in 2015 – the channel now has over 1.7 million subscribers and over 200 million views of all SoLLUMINATI videos combined. He uploads everything that has anything to do with basketball: comments on National Basketball Association (NBA) games, his games on the court against other YouTubers, and games played in the video game “NBA 2K20”.
