Movie-related games are often looked down upon. This is likely due to the amount of lackluster or downright poor game entries that have been released over the past few decades. The HEY 1982 game is perhaps one of the most famous examples of this, as there was even a whole documentary made about the production of this game.
That said, there are also plenty of fantastic movie games out there. Many of them are related to the superhero genre, although there have been some with this genre that have also been remarkable in their own right. Below, we’ll list three of our absolute favorites.
3. Origins of the X-Men: Wolverine
The less said about this film, the better. X-Men Origins: Wolverine is one of the worst comic book movies ever released and almost completely decimated Deadpool’s character. The only good thing to come from the release of this abysmal movie was the surprisingly fantastic video game.
The gameplay was similar to that of god of war 3, but it was a blast. The violent carnage you could unleash as an indestructible man with 12-inch claws was unbelievable. Although Logan did a good job of portraying realistically how brutal a fight with Wolverine would be, this game was one of the first times the character’s goness was on full display.

Add to that the real-time healing factor that the game has incorporated, an ambitious fight with a Sentinel, a parachuting section, and a real fun boss fight at the end of the game with “Deadpool”, and you have the right stuff. of one of the most extraordinary movie linking games ever developed.
2. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
This entry could easily be replaced by the tracking entry; The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King because both are brilliant. However, I chose to go with this one for two reasons. It was first the first LotR adaptation of real mainstream importance. It proved that this franchise could make a successful video game series. Second, it featured the iconic battle of Helm’s Deep.

I should probably also mention that I’m not a LotR fan, or a fantasy fan in general. However, even I can’t deny the thrill of playing as a mighty wizard or a badass warrior taking on an army of orcs. The game is also notable for its ability to capture the unique tone of Peter Jackson films.
1.Spiderman 2
Again, we return to the subgenre of games related to comic book movies. However, Spiderman 2 earns this number one spot for a very good reason. While the other two games listed in this article are excellent, neither of them revolutionized an entire gaming genre. The techniques used in Spiderman 2 pioneered how open-world adventure games would play for the next twenty years.

Many mechanics used in this game served as the basis for so many mechanics still used in current open world game development. The fact that such an essential facet of game development comes from a tie-in video game is nothing short of amazing.
The legacy of this title cannot be underestimated. Without it, we might never have had the recent beloved Spider Man Insomniac games. That’s why Spider-Man 2 is one of the greatest movie games ever made. It was also just a fantastic game to play as a Spider-Man fan.
