Henry Cavill turned down 300 head for James Bond audition
Henry Cavill first worked with Zack Snyder in Steel man. However, Snyder earlier offered her the lead role in his film. 300. Henry Cavill has revealed he turned down the role while auditioning for James Bond.
At the time, only Cavill and Daniel Craig were shortlisted for the role. Cavill was sure he would get the part. But due to multiple factors, he lost it to Daniel Craig.
Martin Campbell, who told the actor he might be a little overweight for the role, also said he was too young to be the next James Bond. He said, “He was 22 when we auditioned for Casino Royale, but maybe he could still be James Bond in the future.”
“I had refused a main role in 300 because it was down to Daniel Craig and me, and auditioning for Bond took all my focus,” he shared.
However, Campbell advised the actor not to bend over a bit when he next auditions for the role. Henry Cavill shared his experience saying he wasn’t chubby but was just overweight to take off his shirt on camera. After losing the role, Cavill was disappointed as he was willing to turn down high-profile movies to get the role.

Henry Cavill would love to play James Bond

He also stars in the Netflix original Enola Holmes 2 alongside Millie Bobby Brown.
