As a devoted connoisseur of the franchise for decades, Johnson is well aware of what longtime fans are pushing for and exactly what they want to see. In this context, we know how the esteemed Hollywood sensation hinted and hinted at Henry Cavill’s return as Superman.
To say that Johnson matches the feelings of DCEU fans would therefore be an understatement. In a recent interview, the Jumanji The actor took a subtle dig at Warner Bros., which sidelined Cavill’s iteration of Superman for far too long.
How Dwayne Johnson Views Superman vs. Black Adam Fight
Talking to Jake’s Takes, the black adam The main star was rewarded with an intriguing, but long-awaited question. With rumors indicating how highly plausible the plausibility of Henry Cavill’s appearance in a post-credits scene from Dwayne Johnson starring is, it’s no surprise that interviewers are also expecting a streak of proper fight between Metropolis Marvel and Mighty Adam.
The red notice alum was therefore asked about the nature of a confrontation scene between Superman and Black Adam and how he sees it unfolding. Who would be the one to get the first punch? To this, Dwayne Johnson had a surprising response:
“I think Black Adam lands the first punch. Now, I don’t know if Black Adam lands the final punch. Because… Superman… I grew up as a DC boy. Superman, I love Superman. I loved Superman and I still do.

With what the Baywatch star had pointed out on previous occasions, Dwayne Johnson can be seen to parallel the same amount of devotion and love we’ve all felt towards the Man of Steel since our childhood days. Previously, the former professional wrestler also claimed that Cavill’s portrayal of the ever-iconic DC superhero made him the definitive Superman of our generation.
Therefore, such statements are enough to make fans wonder what the future holds for the franchise, especially now that Cavill is being suggested to return. However, the journey was not too easy.
The public, for far too long, has had to rely on hundreds of speculations and rumors when it comes to the Justice League the return of the star. Even now, there’s no solid, palpable evidence behind a continued run in the DCEU for the Enola Holmes actor.
However, with Dwayne Johnson’s continued efforts to keep fans happy, we can certainly expect to be rewarded with better days in times to come. Interestingly enough, the WWE star also seems to have been suspicious of Superman’s WB mismanagement of Cavill, who was unfortunately sidelined for years.
The Rock claims Superman was sidelined
Elaborating further on how he sees a fight sequence between the two unstoppable forces playing out, Johnson claimed he described the scene accurately. As the DCEU star attests, he can “see things so clearly.” He visualized what an entire movie would look like revolving around such a premise since he has a filmmaker’s vision and knows what constitutes a “good film.”
Dwayne Johnson even imagined what the next three black adam the movies would look like. However, since he does not know whether these aspirations will materialize or not, the Carnage alum can’t be completely certain. What he is sure of, however, is this:
“For the past 10 years as I pushed Black Adam up that hill to get it done. For five, six, seven years… I also listened to the fans at the same time. We would create Black Adam to be the most powerful and unstoppable force on this planet. The most powerful and unstoppable force in the entire universe has been on the sidelines for far too long.”

Johnson seems to have killed two birds with one stone. While his statement most certainly teases what fans can expect to see in the film, it also presumably hints at Warner Bros. and their disregard for Henry Cavill’s Superman. One cannot easily refute the assertions made by the Jungle Cruise star.
It’s true that for years, the path the DCEU movies have taken has felt still and aimless. With dark limbo to consider, fans’ hopes began to waver. Restoring their favorite cinematic timeline seemed pointless.
However, Dwayne Johnson’s ambitious undertaking has ignited a flame of optimism in the hearts of many. While fans are grateful for its endless efforts, it would be interesting to see whether or not the next DCEU film manages to revive and reinvigorate the franchise with all its might.
