After Zack Snyder’s Justice League which released in 2021, there have been a bunch of rumors about the continuation of the SnyderVerse and whether the American director was going to deliver more movies to DC fans or not. However, there had been no official statement about it.
But Dwayne Johnson might as well have confirmed the end of SnyderVerse.
Looks like fans who made a brave face but were secretly praying for a Justice League 2may well have to say goodbye to their hopes for good.
Dwayne Johnson talks about wanting a Black Adam v. Superman
Dwayne Johnson played a crucial role in bringing Henry Cavill’s Superman back into the DCEU after a long period of static activity regarding the latter’s character. And Johnson had done everything possible to ensure the same.
In a recent interview with CinemaBlendThe Rock spoke briefly about his upcoming movie and how the only reason behind a black adam standalone was that he might have a movie revolving around Black Adam vs. Superman in the future.

When asked whether or not he would be interested in making a movie in which Superman fights his character, Black Adam, Johnson said yes. “Absolutely. That’s the whole point of it all, man,” he said.
He also mentioned how he had been “listening and wanting to speak to fans for years” when it comes to bringing a showdown between Black Adam and Superman to the screen. The former pro wrestler was just waiting for someone to step up and address the fans and say their wishes have been duly noted.

The Rock hints at the end of the SnyderVerse
In the interview, the Baywatch The star also shed some light on how a whole new era is shaping up in the DC Universe and may have just revealed that the SnyderVerse has officially ended.
“I have been saying for some time that there is a new era in the DC Universe that is about to begin. And what I meant by that was introducing a whole new character. This is not a sequel, not an existing IP address. It was… you know, Black Adam.

The Jungle Cruise The actor remarked that a few years ago, no one even knew about Black Adam’s existence except for him and his team members. “What I really meant by ‘It’s a new era in the DC Universe,’ is listen to the fans,” he added. “And do our best to give the fans what they want.”
That being said, the SnyderVerse has been pretty much dead for quite a while now, with no new projects like Justice League 2 in the works. And by the looks of it, there won’t be any more movies alongside Zack Snyder in the DCEU any time soon. At least none that anyone knows about.
The end of the SnyderVerse would indeed denote the end of an era. But Johnson reassured fans that DC is coming up with something entirely new, which just might balance it all out.
