‘Blade’, ‘Fantastic Four’ & More Marvel Studios Movies Pushed Back

Disney is jostling its release date schedule, with a number of Marvel Studios projects being pushed back.

The Blade movie is now set to hit theaters on September 6, 2024. The project was previously set to open on November 3, 2023, but recently lost director Bassam Tariq. Meanwhile, Dead Pool 3 moved to November 8, 2024, back from September 6, 2024, with The Fantastic Four arriving on February 14, 2025, four months later than originally planned.

Avengers: Secret Wars was also delayed by seven months as Marvel continues its search for a director for the film. The culmination of Marvel’s multiverse saga, Secret Wars is now scheduled for May 1, 2026. Its predecessor Avengers: Kang Dynasty remains on track for a May 2025 release.

In terms of other projects, Disney has also set a date for its 20th Century Studios production. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. The film, which began filming earlier this week at Disney Studios Australia, will hit theaters on May 24, 2024.
