Sex scenes can become quite uncomfortable in movies, not only for the audience but also for the actors involved. Marvel actress Scarlett Johansson recently revealed how bad her fake orgasms were so her co-star Joaquin Phoenix had to leave the set for a break.
The duo starred in the 2013 film His in which Scarlett Johansson voices a computer program named Samantha. The character of Theodore played by Joaquin Phoenix ends up falling in love with her and the rest is history.

As said before, Joaquin Phoenix’s Theodore character falls in love with Scarlett Johansson’s voice-acting computer program, Samantha. In a scene from His (2013) the main actor must have sex with the computer program.

The stage fades to black but voices can be heard from the main actors doing their best to give a real performance. Almost 10 years after the movie was released, Scarlett Johansson has revealed that her fake orgasm voice is so bad and “cringe” that the Joker the actor had to leave the set because “He was losing his mind”.
The Marvel actress opened up about the sex scene in Dax Shephard’s Armchair Expert podcast in which she revealed her experience of voicing a sex scene.
“You never want to hear your voice. You definitely don’t want to hear what you think is having an orgasm. You definitely don’t want to hear what it sounds like you’re having a fake orgasm – ew. It’s so rude. It was so weird. We tried to do a take, and he [Joaquin Phoenix] has been, like, lose it. He was so upset about it. He left the studio. He needed a break.
The Black Widow The actress further revealed that she hadn’t seen the movie in a long time, but if she did, she would be mortified!

Scarlett Johansson felt hypersexualized

During the previously mentioned podcast, Scarlett Johansson let all hell break loose by revealing that she was hypersexualized from a young age. The JoJo Rabbit The actress revealed that she felt her career was about to end due to the type of roles she had taken on over the years.
“I kind of became objectified and pigeonholed in this way where I felt like I wasn’t getting job offers for things I wanted to do,”
She further revealed that the newer and younger generation of actors like Florence Pugh and Zendaya are able to express themselves more freely, which she says is good for the current times.
“I see younger actors who are in their twenties, I feel like they’re allowed to be all these different things. It’s also another time. We’re not even allowed to categorize the other actors, fortunately, is not it? People are much more dynamic.
Scarlett Johansson was last seen gracing the big screens as Miss Natasha Romanoff aka the Black Widow when Black Widow was released in 2021. The actress has not appeared on screen since, but rumors that she will star in Dexter Fletcher’s Phantom could turn out to be true in 2023.
