Steve Jobs was known to be quite judgmental about a lot of things, and since Disney bought out Pixar, the Apple co-founder has been one of the company’s biggest shareholders. In 2010, when Marvel released iron man 2, it was more of a niche movie according to the audience, but they weren’t the only ones.
Jobs also felt the film was lackluster and in much harsher words, “Aspired. For him, the film was far below what he expected. Much like the lowest-ranked MCU movies to date, iron man 2 still holds a position in the list. However, for the former Apple CEO, it’s a whole different story.

Steve Jobs speaks out against Iron Man 2
In Bob Iger’s 2019 memoir, The Journey of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned from 15 Years as CEO of The Walt Disney Companyhe revealed that after watching the movie, Steve Jobs went out of his way to call him and tell him how much he didn’t like the movie.
When Iron Man 2 came out, Steve [Jobs] took his son to see him and called me the next day. “I took Reed to see Iron Man 2 last night,” he said. “It sucked.”
Jobs had gone out with his son to watch the film and returned disappointed to see the sequel to Marvel’s big break. Being the critic that he was, he expressed concern about the film. Even though he is known for his Iphones and Ipads, he plays a big role for Disney Pixar by being one of their biggest shareholders.

Marvel’s Return in Iron Man 2
Although iron man 2 was one of the MCU’s least-received movies, it still managed to gross a total of $623.9 million worldwide. movies like Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Love and Thunder, Eternals, The Incredible Hulk, and even Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is part of the list.
There is no doubt that after the continuation of Iron Man, the quality of MCU content has increased dramatically, with all its avengers moviesSpider Man movies, and many more. Robery Downey Jr.’s big break made the MCU what it is today. Whether Jobs would have liked the franchise as it is today would probably be a question that will remain unanswered.
However, it would only be a matter of time before Marvel would pick up their tunes, listen to what fans have to say, and give them their best, or maybe what they already have in store for us.
