Vincent D’Onofrio, best remembered for his performance in Stanley Kubrick Full Metal Jacket, played a spectacular and fearsome Kingpin in the three-season run that Drew Goddard’s adaptation enjoyed. D’Onoforio is now set to reprise his role as the hulking villain in Daredevil: born again, and they say he will be Mayor Fisk!

Daredevil Mayor Fisk Is No Less Menacing Than Wilson Fisk
As shown in daredevil series that premiered 7 years ago on Netflix, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin is a wealthy businessman. He also has the same wealth status in the comics with an estimated net worth of $40 billion! It is enormous.
Just like in real life, the more money you have, the more influence you wield. In the comics, Wilson Fisk’s riches are depicted as eventually helping him rise to the upper echelons of administration in New York as he became the city’s mayor in daredevil #595.

Now, new rumors have swirled about D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk possibly being upgraded to Mayor Fisk in the upcoming reboot. Daredevil: born again, and we are as excited as you are reading this.
Industry scooper Daniel Richtman has posted some tantalizing news for the Disney+ TV series on his Patreon. Richtman reports that a casting search for members of Fisk’s mayoral campaign – which we believe will be part of a story arc where the villain vies for the seat of mayor of New York – is underway.
Marvel is currently looking to recruit Fisk’s Mayor’s team in “DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN” as part of Fisk’s storyline running for Mayor of NYC.

I’m pretty sure we can all agree that D’Onforio’s portrayal of the villain in the Netflix series was scary enough and widely regarded as one of the best performances by an antagonist in television history. Now imagine all the possibilities of granting the 63-year-old actor’s villain the seat of mayor of New York!

Daredevil should appear in Spider-Man 4
It was truly a Daredevil fan’s dream when Charlie Cox made his return as a blind lawyer in Spider-Man: No Coming Home, but he was only there to help sort out Peter Parker’s annoying legal issues from Tom Holland.
We can sort of consider this his official MCU debut, can’t we? Fans have been searching for a suitable storyline for the character since seeing him in the movie. It looks like that search is finally over as a new rumor hints at a possible storyline for Matt Murdock in Spider-Man 4.

The Cosmic Circus in its latest report says the upcoming Spider-Man 4 movie, which will be directed by Tom Holland, features a “street level story” which continues after everything that happens in Daredevil: Born Again.
It really is an exciting premise. Have Wilson Fisk (given they don’t kill him in born again)Daredevil and Spider-Man in one movie are sure to piss off any fanboy, even the oldest Marvel fan, let’s hope these rumors come to fruition!
Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere on Disney+ in the spring of 2024. It will be part of the MCU’s Phase Five.
