‘It all started with a Bond movie’: Oldboy Park director Chan-Wook wants to direct next James Bond movie as producers hunt for their 007

Park Chan-Wook, the mastermind behind such widely acclaimed films as Oldboy, snowdrops, and Lady Revenge, expressed interest in making a James Bond film. The news presented a very interesting take amid all the chaos going on around the upcoming 007 movie. The studio hasn’t reported anything on who might be reprising the role of Bond. Speaking to Deadline, Park Chan-Wook explained that although he wants to be the captain of a James Bond ark, he doesn’t expect people to like him as much as he does. Although he hasn’t confessed why people are unlikely to enjoy the film, his dark cinematic style may be one reason.

“Yeah, that would be fun. But I’m not sure people watching it would have as much fun making the movie as I did.
