Godzilla fans around the world are celebrating their beloved monster’s big birthday today with the announcement of an upcoming movie! Toho, a Japanese film company and distributor, has confirmed that a new kaiju movie is currently in the works and will arrive in November next year.

The company that introduced the franchise launched its first installment on November 3, 1954, and has since become the day of celebration for fans around the world. Over the years, many adaptations have been created for comics, film and television.
Today, the biggest franchise, Legendary’s MonsterVerse, is also directing its fifth project after Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017), king of the monsters (2019), and Godzilla vs. Kong (2021).

What We Know So Far About The Next Godzilla Movie
Toho posted a teaser photo on their Twitter account, and while the plot is still a mystery, they revealed that Takahashi Yamazaki (Support me Doraemon 3, Lupine III: The First) was chosen to lead. Look at the picture below:

The last feature film released in Japan was shin godzilla in 2016, and after that, Legendary took the franchise under its wing to create the massive quadrilogy universe moviegoers know today. While the MonsterVerse will retain its plans, Toho’s new kaiju movie will leave its mark to honor the original Japanese monster that fans have loved over the decades.

It won’t be long before we get more details about the plot, design, and other vital details of the upcoming film, as the film is slated for release on its anniversary next November.
