Recently, it had leaked that Emilia Clarke as Abigail Brand, the commander of the organization SWORD (Sentient World Observation and Response Department). Abigail is a highly trained, half-alien, half-mutant secret agent.
When this news made the rounds, it made sense for Emilia to play a potentially badass character who will fight during the invasion. But new rumors say otherwise. According to scooper CanWeGetToast, Clarke will play a Skrull called Gi’ahwho will probably be the daughter of Talos.

We last saw Talos in Captain Marvel, and expect to see him again in the Secret Invasion show. After all, it is his race that triggers the invasion. As such, her daughter, who will now be grown up, will probably also play a big role.
Will Emilia Clarke play a brand Skrull or Abigail?
The Skrulls Talos and Soren
We won’t get an official confirmation until the show is released. So Emilia Clarke could play either Skrull Gi’ah or Abigail Brand. But there’s a theory floating around that she’ll play both characters. Let’s explain.
Skrulls have a shapeshifting ability. So during the invasion, Talos’ daughter was able to take control of Abigail Brand’s face to look like her. And so, in essence, Emilia could play both characters. It could be a dual role. And once the invasion is over, Abigail Brand will remain. So Clarke won’t have to leave the MCU, and she can stick around for the long haul.
It’s a win-win theory that serves all parties. But it remains to be seen if this theory is true or if Emilia Clarke will only play one character – A Skrull or Abigail Brand.
