The triumphant return of Henry Cavill to Black Adam’s Mid-Credit Scene made the fans jubilant. And now, with rumors of a Superman movie in the works, the hype is through the roof. But before resuming the costume for a solo Superman movie, Cavill wants to have long talks with DC Co-CEO James Gunn.
James Gunn is a comic book enthusiast and the director of the MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy films. He also directed The Suicide Squad movie and The Peacemaker show under the DC banner. Gunn was therefore part of the two mega franchises.

Recently, David Zaslav, CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, said Gunn and Safran the co-CEOs of DC Films. November 1, 2022 was the first day he took on his new role and assumed leadership of DC. Fans hope he steers her in a new direction.
During an interview with IGN, Henry Cavill mentioned his wish to meet James Gunn. He said:
“I haven’t met James yet. I can’t wait to meet him. He’s a very talented man, and I can’t wait to sit down and have long, long conversations with him. I am very excited about possible future opportunities in which we can work together.

With Henry back, a Superman movie is inevitable, and perhaps that’s why Cavill is so insistent on having long talks with DC Films’ new boss James Gunn. As for the type of Superman movie, will the hero be brooding like in Man of Steel and Batman vs Superman, or will he be more light-hearted?
There is no way to confirm until official sources say something. But Henry Cavill knows what kind of Superman he wants to play. In the IGN interview, he said:
“What really draws me to Superman is that he represents the best of the human soul, the greatest of the human soul. It’s not just his powers. It’s his heart. is his heart that makes him so special. And even when he goes through hardship, he continues to give to others. He continues to protect others. He is the one who always reaches out and always gives. And in that, he there’s a lot of wonder and power in it, and it’s something so joyful, as I say, that it’s not a dismal weight.
Looks like Cavill wants a cheerful Superman full of light and hope. Whether or not his wishes will ultimately come true remains to be seen.
