Second Trailer For James Cameron Sequel Drops

The second trailer for James Cameron’s upcoming sequel, Avatar: The Way of the Water just dropped during Good Morning America.

Avatar: The Way of the Water had its first official teaser in May ahead of Marvel Studios Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The images teased some of the visceral images of the public returning to Pandora for the first time in 13 years, and also showed what James Cameron has been up to since then.

The latest trailer for James Cameron’s long-awaited sequel came out, after a special premiere on the ABC show hello america. You can check it out below, along with an official movie poster.

As announced earlier this week, The way of the water has a run time of approximately 3 hours and its 10 minutes, making it 28 minutes longer than the original Avatar film, which was released in 2009. The reported runtime also makes it James Cameron’s second longest film to date, behind 1997’s Titanic.

Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, “Avatar: The Way of the Water” begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri and their children), the troubles that follow them, the the lengths they go to protect each other, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.

Directed by James Cameron from a screenplay he co-wrote with Josh Friedman, the sequel stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco , Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi and Kate Winslet.
