Henry Cavill had been rejected before playing Bond in Casino Royale since they wanted an older actor to portray the role. The Steel man The actor, now in his late 30s, is the perfect age to take on the role of Agent 007. The contract was also one of the factors allowing Idris Elba to drop out of the James Bond run since he was also highly regarded for the role.
Although Cavill has acknowledged his interest in the franchise, there has been no official statement from Barbara Brocolli or Mike G. Wilson regarding their consideration for Henry Cavill. The actor recently starred as Superman in black adam (2022) and as Sherlock Holmes in Enola Houses 2 (2022).
