Millie Bobby Brown can’t convince Henry Cavill to do a TikTok

While the clash of generations is a problem for anyone trying to reconcile their ideologies with those of their predecessors, Millie Bobby Brown seems to be taking it personally by calling out Henry Cavill for his physique. The two Brits co-starred in the Enola Holmes films adapted from the eponymous novels by Nancy Springer. During their time together, the very outgoing Brown made it a point to annoy Cavill in any way necessary.

While it is quite in the stranger things star persona to radiate maximum Gen Z energy, Henry Cavill’s poised, gentlemanly presence is a facade that has proven hard to break, even by Brown’s presence. Those who have kept tabs on the emerging actor’s social media activities or his presence in interviews know how infectious Brown’s energy can be. The unwavering enthusiasm with which she presents herself naturally draws all the spotlight to her. It’s not too much, considering all of Brown’s indomitable traits, for her to ask Henry Cavill to join a TikTok trend with her. But that’s easier said than done.

Millie Bobby Brown recalls being on set with Henry Cavill

While it’s truly amazing to see an eccentric Sherlock get along with his brother and team up to solve a case, Henry Cavill’s whimsical presence makes the role even better. But that’s not all the tea from Netflix’s set of Cavill’s new movie. During an interview with BBC Radio 1 film critic Ali Plumb, Millie Bobby Brown spills some insider secrets from her time on the sets of Enola Holmes 2 and his theories on what stands in the way of Henry Cavill and a TikTok video dance.

“Ali, it’s honestly like moving a brick wall. It won’t happen unless I take a hammer and just walk in there, it won’t happen. Well, also the fact that “He’s just really tall usually, I can’t get him to move. It would be like, you know, his hand would be there and my head would be like pressed against him – he’s just too tall and muscular.”

When Plumb facilitates the commentary by recalling how in the film Cavill’s Sherlock is like a dead horse on top of another dead horse, Brown quips sarcastically, “It is, it really is like that. It’s Henry Cavill, our new James Bond. Even if the “James Bond” the joke garnered unwarranted noise, it should be noted that the mistake about Cavill being the next Bond was entirely made as a joke to be understood in the context of the interview, and was not a confirmation of the role of actor within the 007 franchise.

Enola Holmes 2 is now available to stream on Netflix.
