Henry Cavill recently starred in Deadline video series, The movie that lit my wick, in which the actor spoke about the film that made him feel the wonders of Hollywood. Although he’s already decided on acting, he said there weren’t any particular movies that made him fall in love with…except one.
“I’m not sure if that particular move forced me to tell stories on screen. I think I wanted to do it anyway. It was something that kept coming back to the back of my head and I I was excited. I’ve always been interested in acting. I was doing plays in school at the time, and that was definitely one of my two goals that I was going to aim for.

“I went there with my English class, and it was a special trip that my teacher had planned, and we all went together and watched the movie,” he said. “It was such a unique experience because, first, I was watching it with other students, rather than going alone…and we got to chat about the film afterwards as well.
The actor continues,
“I I don’t particularly remember what was said in those discussions, but all of a sudden it felt more like a thing than before. There was more of a breakdown of what was going on and why we liked the movie. I love this period of history anyway, and the way Gladiator presented it was engaging and fun, and it made me think “this is the kind of stuff I want to do”.
