There were plenty of surprises when Spider-Man: No Way Home hit theaters in December. With the reappearance of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as their respective Peter Parkers. Charlie Cox, Hell’s Kitchen’s favorite defender, was also brought back into the film. The First MCU Movie Or TV Show To Recognize The Grittiest And Most Mature Defenders series of Marvel’s Netflix series was No Way Home.
Fast forward to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Where Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, who reprized their roles as Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, respectively, were confirmed as returning cast members of the official Daredevil series, named Daredevil: Born Again.
outside the kitchen
The filming of Daredevil: Born Again will be done under the working title “Out the Kitchen”. This likely refers to Hell’s Kitchen, the neighborhood where the blind superhero resides. It may also imply that at least some of the plot action will occur somewhere outside of Hell’s Kitchen.
Will Matt Murdock leave his home?
Well, similar to his rationale in She-Hulk, it could be something as simple as handling a file for an important client. Maybe he’s even going back to Los Angeles to see Jen Walters.
The idea that Matt will have to flee the city is another. An earlier report suggested that Echo could encourage Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin to run for mayor, which in the comics doesn’t work out too well for the town’s superheroes.
Although it looks like at least part of the 18-episode series will be on familiar ground for Daredevil, as the production will be filming in New York City.
Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere on Disney+ in the spring of 2024.
