Thunderbolts Plot Reportedly Had Madame Hydra Lead Villainous Team To Invade Wakanda, Fans Claim Marvel Is Getting Too Real This Time

While the DCs suicide squad made the bad guys the center of attention for once, Marvel was keen to hand the reins to the good guys. That is, until now. With all the updates fans have received so far on the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe project, Love at first sight, it looks like the villains have finally found their time to shine.

At the recent D23 Expo showcase that took place in September 2022, Marvel made some huge announcements about what fans should expect. This included news on projects like Loki season 2, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Thunderbolts, and more. As director Kevin Feige unmasked the cast of Love at first sight, there are now more updates on the film’s possible plot.

According to a credible industry source, DanielRPK, the next Love at first sight will see an anti-hero ensemble team up and visit Black Panther’s home of Wakanda. One thing is certain, the visit will not be friendly.

Apparently, Marvel is currently discussing a project on the US government led by Valentina Allegra of Fontaine AKA Madame Hydra, who could form a villainous group to wage war against Wakanda. However, the plot is not yet confirmed for Love at first sight. It could very well be a thing of the distant future. On the other hand, Love at first sight’ the cast reveal alludes to this storyline being followed in the film.

After receiving this update, fans hilariously compared it to real life, with one Twitter user stating that Marvel is finally giving an accurate portrayal of American foreign policy. While some are busy comparing the script to reality, others are more interested in the fictional world. They expressed concern for Wakanda, saying the country has been through roller coasters before and another roller coaster awaits them in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Let the plot be for Love at first sight or not, fan reactions suggest they can’t wait to see how the interesting storyline unfolds. Jake Schreier directing the film makes it all the more interesting as it would be his first step into the superhero genre.

In the D23 Expo showcase, Marvel revealed the cast that would form the villainous group Thunderbolts. To the surprise of fans, the cast is filled to the brim with familiar faces. The most surprising addition to the cast is undoubtedly Sebastian Stan who will once again play Bucky Barnes. Since Bucky was supposed to turn over a new leaf as seen in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, his role on the anti-hero team seems a bit contradictory.

Other actors reprising their respective roles in the film include Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbor as Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, and Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr.

The Nick Fury of Love at first sight, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine will be played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus. She’ll be acting as the leader of the group and given her history with HYDRA, who knows what she’s up to?

However, much to the chagrin of fans, Daniel Bruhl who plays Zemo was not on the long list of announced cast members. Since Zemo was such an integral part of the comics, leaving him out didn’t make much sense to fans. Maybe Marvel wants to keep its role hidden? Nevertheless, it seems Love at first sight already places high expectations for its release.

Whereas Love at first sight hasn’t started filming, it’s slated for release in 2024, wrapping up Marvel’s Phase 5.
