The director who will allegedly take the reins of this wild horse is none other than Joseph Kosinski. The director recently shot to fame when he helmed Tom Cruise’s star Top Gun: Maverick (2022), which earned the director a Saturn Award nomination.
Fans, after hearing the rumor, felt that the director was indeed the right choice and took to Twitter to express their satisfaction and confidence in the new era of DC.

The tone for the Maverick is exactly the tone that would supposedly work for a classic superman. Then, taking into account his experience in filming flight scenes, and bearing in mind that he is an excellent visual artist… This is clearly the best option after Zack Snyder

People think Joseph Kosinski is an underrated director and it would be a win for DC Studios to hire this man. This is just speculation at the moment and there has been no official statement about it.

Recently, Steven Spielberg, the veteran director known for Jurassic Park, was seen having lunch with the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, David Zaslav. It’s been speculated that the veteran director is set to helm the sequel to the Henry Cavill star Man of steel 2. Not only that, but lunch was also joined by Christopher Nolan who fell on bad terms with Warner Bros. about the release of Principle (2020).
As for the officiality, there has been no confirmed news or statements, only rumors and speculations. According to Henry Cavill, the next Superman project is still in its construction phase and will take some time before release.
