Black Panther: Wakanda ForeverThe post-credits scene brings a surprising new character to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD FOR BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER AHEAD!

Before the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, it has been speculated and rumored that the film’s post-credits scene will finally feature Doctor Doom. However, during the wakanda forever press tour, director Ryan Coogler and producer Nate Moore both said the iconic Fantastic Four villain would never appear in the sequel.

T’Challa’s return?

Still, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has a post-credits scene, which essentially serves as the end of the film. The scene continues after Shuri burns her dress from T’Challa’s funeral in Haiti. Shuri is then joined by Nakia, who introduces a young boy around five years old. The young boy and Shuri have a conversation before it is finally revealed that he is Nakia and T’Challa’s son, and also goes by his late father’s name. This revelation confirms a plot point originally reported by the cosmic circus Last year.

During the sequence, Nakia also reveals that Queen Ramonda knew T’Challa’s secret son and even met him before he died. Nakia was absent during the events of Avengers: Infinity War and End of Game, probably because she was busy raising her son in Haiti during The Blip. In the comics, T’Challa and Storm have a child named Azari.

Marvel Studios has made it clear that they will not be recasting the role of T’Challa in the wake of Chadwick Boseman’s death. However, it looks like his legacy will continue through his son. Shuri might have taken on the role of Black Panther in the sequel, but it’s safe to say that T’Challa’s son will pick up the slack once he’s old enough, along with the Wakandian throne that M’Baku will take. at the end of the film.

Disney’s official synopsis for the film reads: “In Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of the death of King T’Challa. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and chart a new course for the kingdom of Wakanda.
