Marvel Studios has a huge line-up ahead of them. With new shows and movies hitting screens one after another, fans couldn’t be more excited. projects like Loki, Night Werewolf, Moon Knight, and so on, pleasantly surprised fans. However, Marvel’s fairly apparent plans have also come under criticism.
With Marvel constantly receiving backlash for watering down superheroes to appeal to a larger audience, it seems like Daredevil: Born Again will break the cycle with a possible R-rating. However, that doesn’t exactly mean that Marvel is ready for some serious, dark action just yet since Love at first sight and Blade do not seem to suffer the same fate as Daredevil: Born Again.

Daredevil: Born Again probably be classified as TV-MA
Apparently, Daredevil: Born Again is ready to hit the streaming site with a mature note. The return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock AKA Daredevil in Spider Man: No coming home was more on the comedic side. His cameo in She-Hulk: Lawyer was also quite hilarious for viewers to see. This caused some concern among OG Daredevil fans. Will Matt Murdock just be a funny guy or will his quirky, more mature personality be seen on the Disney+ show?
The most likely R-rating answers that question to some extent. Disney CEO Bob Chapek has teased fans that they should be ready to watch R-rated content in the MCU. He stated that “elasticity” streaming platforms greatly facilitates the production of more mature content.
Insider Daniel Richtman responded to a tweet asking if Daredevil: Born Again will be TV-MA, the TV counterpart of an R-Rating. He simply said “Likely.” However, it shut down all the expectations fans had of Love at first sight and Blade. When asked if the two projects, as well as Agatha and Echowill receive a similar rating, Richtman replied in the negative.
For good news, Marvel has already confirmed an R-rated series, Marvel zombies, which will soon air on Disney+, although no date has been confirmed.

Marvel has consistently been accused of watering down superheroes, villains, fight scenes, and their films in general. Comic book fans in particular have their work cut out for them with Marvel.
Now, fans fear that upcoming projects will be just as lackluster as the many recent projects. Love at first sight, which has such a promising history, is especially the focus of concern for fans. The MCU equivalent of suicide squad will feature many great characters in the film, including fan-favorite Bucky. If Marvel was planning to water down the film, fans can expect the return of flat, dry action sequences. There have also been no confirmed updates on what Blade will be noted as.
For now, fans of a darker superhero genre can do nothing but hope that MCU follows that path soon. So far it seems Daredevil: Born Again and Marvel Zombies are going in the right direction!
Daredevil: Born Again will be available to stream on Disney+ in the spring of 2024.
