Lily-Rose Depp’s controversial discussions of nepotism

Lily-Rose Depp is a Franco-American actress with a few small roles to her credit. She began her career playing a small role in Defense (2014). The actress later found herself playing roles in period dramas like The dancer (2016), Planetarium (2016), and, The king (2019).

After playing those roles, the actress recently spoke with She on the current negative trend of nepotism. Lily-Rose Depp has denied claims that she is “privileged” and shared his thoughts on nepotism.

“It’s weird for me to reduce someone to the idea that they’re only there because it’s a generation thing. It just doesn’t make sense. If somebody’s mother or father is a doctor, and the child becomes a doctor, you’re not going to think, “Well, you’re only a doctor because your parent is a doctor.” It’s like, ‘No, I went to medical school and trained.’

Following her statements, people blamed the actress for being “out of reach” with reality. They tweeted about the problems of an ordinary person and their daily struggles that the actress apparently wouldn’t have to face.

Although the actress got her words misinterpreted or the definition a bit fuzzy, she was still trolled. After the months-long defamation lawsuit her father endured, Lily-Rose Depp has remained silent on updates so far.

During the aforementioned interview with She, Lily-Rose Depp has shared her thoughts on Depp’s recently concluded defamation lawsuit. The actress also added that her view of private life was hazy as the thoughts she felt were suddenly exposed to the wind and known to everyone.

“I know my childhood wasn’t like everyone else’s childhood, and it’s a very special thing to deal with, but it’s also the only thing I know. When it’s something so private and so personal that suddenly becomes not so personal… I really have the right to have my secret garden of thoughts.

Lily-Rose Depp is set to star alongside her father Johnny Depp in the duo’s next French film The Favourite. The film features Johnny Depp as King Louis XV in the French biographical drama. The film is set to hit theaters in France in 2023 and will be available to stream 15 months later on Netflix (allegedly).
