WB Reportedly Blocked Man of Steel 2, Henry Cavill’s Superman Sequel Fails To Find Director As DCU Seeks Someone Other Than Zack Snyder

Fans are eagerly awaiting Henry Cavill’s return as Superman. After reprising her role on the post-credits stage of black adam, everyone started talking man of steel 2. Soon the British actor made it official by sharing a short video with his fans. Following his return as the Man of Steel, the actor announced his departure from his Netflix show, the witcher. Soon after, the studio confirmed the sequel and reports also surfaced that they were looking for a director and screenwriter for the film.

Fans were excited to see Cavill back as Superman. However, Warner Bros. still doesn’t have a director and writer for man of steel 2. A report by The Wrap claimed that there was no formal agreement with the Steel man star for his return again.

Warner Bros. could stop the production of Man of Steel 2

Since the release of black adam, fans have been excited about Henry Cavill’s return as Superman. Several there have been several reports saying that the search for a director and a screenwriter for man of steel 2 is currently underway at Warner Bros.

However, a report from The Wrap mentioned that the studio still hasn’t finalized the director and screenwriter for the film. He also claimed that the studio was stuck and there was no progress in terms of production. The report further states that the studio does not even have a formal agreement with the Justice League star for his return.

Newly formed DC Studios CEO James Gunn and Peter Safran have been busy “refine their long-term plan for the DCU.” The new update challenges all previous developments for man of steel 2. And that also disappoints the fans.

Slow progress and the absence of any official agreement may delay production. And it will be years before the sequel finally hits the big screen.

What would Superman’s future be in DCU?

Gunn and Safran worked on a long-term plan. And The Wrap claimed they plan to reveal that plan within the next two months. This new plan may also include updates related to Man of steel 2.

Henry Cavill starred as Superman in black adam after his last appearance in Justice League. There have been many speculations about the dawn of justice the return of the star.

Superman made an appearance at the end of 2019 Shazam! However, the superhero’s face was not revealed, leading many to believe that WB was planning to recast the character.

However, fans still have high hopes for Man of steel 2. With the black adam cameo, we can assume that the studio may not be planning to recast Superman.
