Worst Things Characters Did In House Of The Dragon Season 1

The characters in House of the Dragon Season 1 are all extremely complex and have a multitude on their own.

1. Daemon Targaryen kills his wife in cold blood in House of the Dragon season 1

Daemon Targaryen is definitely one of the most beloved and badass characters in House of the Dragon season 1. However, he’s also a character who thrives in the morally gray region. He did absolutely cruel and monstrous things; killing his wife Rhea Royce in cold blood was definitely one of them. She was simply one of many victims of Daemon and Rhaenyra’s love affair.

2. Ser Criston Cole murders Joffrey Lonmouth and Lord Beesbury

Ser Criston Cole has gone from our beloved dreamy knight in shining armor to an annoying vindictive tyrant. He is hated by fans for bullying Rhaenyra’s children while being a grown man himself. In fact, he became nothing more than a scorned bitter man. But he is even more despised for cruelly murdering Ser Joffrey Lonmouth and Lord Beesbury. He murdered these two innocent men only in a fit of rage. In particular the murder of Ser Joffrey Lonmouth was vicious and heartless and without any rhyme or reason.

3. Lord Larys Strong arranges the murder of his own father and brother

Lord Larys Strong is definitely one of the most monstrous and evil characters in House of the Dragon season 1. After all, he organized the murder of his family, including his father Lyonel Strong and his brother Harwin Strong. He also cut out the assassins’ tongues to protect his mastermind identity. Then there’s also his creepy foot fetish, but that’s not as bad as murder, is it?

4. Prince Aegon Targaryen sexually assaults a maid in House of the Dragon season 1

Prince Aegon Targaryen, who is now also the King of the Seven Kingdoms, is one of the most despicable characters in House of the Dragon season 1. While initially audiences sympathized with him and the burden placed on him by Queen Alicent and Ser Otto Hightower. Prince Aegon Targaryen quickly turned into a heartless monster when he sexually assaulted one of the Red Keep servants, Dyana.

5. Queen Alicent covers up and threatens the maid who was assaulted by Aegon

Alicent Hightower has been an accomplice to murder several times now. She also has an extremely questionable parenting style. But none of this even compares to when Queen Alicent Hightower covered up the fact that her son, Prince Aegon Targaryen, had sexually assaulted a young girl from the Red Keep. Not only that, but she also threatened Dyana to keep quiet about the despicable thing that was done to her.

6. Princess Rhaenyra is an accomplice to the murder of an innocent

Rhaenyra Targaryen has gained the support and affection of many fans during House of the Dragon Season 1. But she is certainly not a saint. After all, nothing is black and white in House of the Dragon. While Rhaenyra’s irresponsible and privileged attitude can be excused, she still participated in the murder of an innocent. All so she could marry her uncle.

7. Ser Otto Hightower orders the murder of several Lords and Ladies

Otto Hightower may have started out as a smart and cunning man. But he soon became the villain of House of the Dragon season 1. He groomed his own daughter and used her as a pawn in his elaborate plan to win the Iron Throne. Eventually it wasn’t just manipulation and grooming, Ser Otto Hightower ended up resorting to murder. He killed all opposition to the Greens by hanging the Lords and Ladies who supported Rhaenyra. He was even ready to send the order to kill Rhaenyra and her young children.

8. King Viserys sacrifices his wife Aemma in House of the Dragon season 1

King Viserys was known to be a kind-hearted, gentle-tempered man in House of the Dragon Season 1. In fact, this quality has even led many people to doubt his abilities as a leader. However, even in his years of keeping peace in the Kingdom, he too shed blood. And that blood was his own wife’s. Viserys chose to sacrifice his wife opening it, all to have a boy as heir.
