‘I mean there’s only one’: Daredevil star Vincent D’Onofrio says his pivot battling Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is inevitable, teases Spider-Man 4 will be gritty and anchored

Ever since Drew Goddard’s 2015 adaptation of the character from Marvel’s Daredevil saw its fourth season scrapped, the privilege of seeing Vincent D’Onofrio in the MCU has been reduced to mere mentions and special appearances. However, it surely sends a shiver down MCU fans’ spines every time D’Onofrio puts on his Kingpin face.

Starting today, the character will finally return to… not the big screens, but your laptop and TV screens in the new Daredevil reboot titled Daredevil: Born Again. Although the fact that D’Onofrio’s Kingpin is indeed returning as the main villain of born again was put to bed, the actor himself claims he could make his MCU debut too!

The Kingpin is one of the most amazing characters in Marvel history, showing that no matter how bad a villain is, there’s a caring man inside that person. So it would make sense for such a character to sooner or later see the live-action spotlight in the MCU timeline.

Although it made MCU fans quite envious to see the character as Sony’s main antagonist. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, they’ll be happy to hear the news of the villain’s return to the MCU.

It was obvious that Kevin Feige would want him back as a character, let alone the main villain, in the next reboot of daredevil for Disney+, Daredevil: Born Again. The question of the possibility of a scenario in which Kingpin goes headlong into Spider-Man was raised during a Q&A attended by the Full Metal Jacket star at Salt Lake FanX 2022 earlier this year. Vincent D’Onofrio had this to say-

“I mean there’s really only one end goal, and I think someone just said who that would be.”

These comments will surely bolster rumors regarding the possibility of D’Onofrio’s Kingpin being the main antagonist in the upcoming Spiderman 4 film. If he does, it will surely get gritty and dark in here!

“I will say though, you see, you guys have no idea what Born Again has in store for you. And, I know a little bit more than you guys do, and all I can say is is that during this next series, you will think of nothing but the next episode.

daredevil: Born again slated for release somewhere around spring 2024. And with D’Onofrio on the train to fight Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock once again, it’s bound to be a good time.
