Across the Spider-Verse Producer Comments On Tom Holland Rumors

Spider-Man: Through the Spider-Verse Producer Chris Miller isn’t ruling out a Tom Holland cameo.

sony Spider-Man: Through the Spider-Verse is currently shrouded in secrecy, but one of the animated feature’s producers was recently asked if it features Tom Holland. The British actor, who plays Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, almost contributed his voice talents to the 2018s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Versebut it never made it into the final version of the film.

Empire Magazine spoke with Chris Miller and asked the producer about the possibility of seeing Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in Through the Spider-Verse. Although he doesn’t say much about it, Miller told the site that “anything is possible in the multiverse.”

Christopher Miller and his producing partner Phil Lord wanted Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield for a post-credits scene on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Sony execs dismissed their pitch for the scene, saying it was “too soon”, but Holland, Maguire and Garfield later teamed up to Spider-Man: No Coming Home.

Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson from a screenplay written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Dave Callaham, Through the Spider-Verse also features the voices of Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Oscar Isaac, Issa Rae, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Vélez, Jason Schwartzman, Rachel Dratch, Shea Whigham and Jorma Taccone. Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, Christina Steinberg produce alongside Lord and Miller.

Sony official Through the Spider-Verse The synopsis reads: “Miles Morales returns for the next chapter in the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Spider-Man, a friendly, full-time Brooklyn neighborhood, across the multiverse to unite his forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to take on a villain more powerful than anything they’ve ever encountered.
