James Earl Jones, widely known for his terrific role as the voice of none other than Darth Vader himself, has finally retired from the role, giving the voice rights of Darth Vader to LucasFilm for future Star Wars projects.
James Earl Jones has voiced the character for over forty-five years, bringing to life the character who has been one of the franchise’s most famous faces. LucasFilm now owns the rights to the character’s voice which can be used in any other appearances Vader has to make.

James Earl Jones is famous for voicing not one, but two iconic fathers; Anakin Skywalker, also known as Darth Vader, and Mufasa, from The Lion King. Make his first appearance in Star Wars: A New Hope, James Earl Jones brought to life one of the densest characters out there. Although behind the mask stood a deceptive Anakin Skywalker, the voice that frightened many was that of Jones himself.

They also state that anyone willing to fill their shoes has a job of much respect and honor, as James Earl Jones has truly created a legacy for himself and the character himself.
Fans are ready to hear her voice again with her rumored appearance in Ahsoka series and have already witnessed the same in the Obi Wan Kenobi series too. The role of the actor was added to the show later.
Whether or not the voice actor should be replaced or his lively voice is still a mystery even after LucasFilm and Repeech own the rights. Fans also face this dilemma of wanting someone new or hearing the voice of James Earl Jones continue to portray Darth Vader.
