Early life and education
Rachel was raised alone in Mandeville by her father who was a lawyer and her mother who was an accountant. She grew up wanting to be a model, reading teen magazines with her peers, and in local high school she became physically active, running and playing soccer. After matriculating, Rachel enrolled at Louisiana State University, where she was on the college track team, and although multiple sources said Rachel was a cheerleader and a Golden Girl (meaning she was a member of Louisiana State University’s popular dance team.), Rachel said that wasn’t true.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations in 2004.
Career as a model, television personality and actress
After graduating, Rachel could not find work in her field of study and so started working as a supermarket cashier where she was noticed by a model scout, who invited her to attend a one of their auditions. This led to Rachel becoming a model for Venus Swimwear, working with them for 10 years, while she also later became a spokesperson working for Los Angeles Fitness.
Rachel has been featured in numerous magazines, including on the cover page of “Fitness RX”.
