Anime admirers have waited a long time for this since the announcement of the series adaptation Shin Ikki Tousen on July 2, 2021. The series hits the screens soon this May and it’s a great relief for the martial arts fans. The remarkable visuals and launch date were tweeted on the official account.

An advanced screening of the first episode is scheduled for March 27, 2022. The whole series will have only 3 episodes and is set to end on May 31, 2022. The visuals are the crowd pullers, since it’s a part of the Ikki Tousen franchise. The series is famous for the large-breasted schoolgirl fighters and fans are now ready for some action.
Ikki Tousen is a Japanese manga series by Yuji Shiozaki also known as Battle Vixens in North America. The plot unravels the battle for supremacy of the seven schools in the Kanto region of Japan.
The series emphasizes the story of Hafuku Sonsaku, a descendant of legendary conqueror Sun Ce and a fighter from the West. The anime loosely narrates the old Chinese novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
The first season aired as a 13 episode story on AT-X from July 30 to October 22, 2003. Due to the tide of success it created, the anime was soon licensed by Geneon Entertainment and Enoki Films in North America, Madman Entertainment in NewZealand and Australia, and MVM Films in the United Kingdom. The second season, Ikki Tousen: Dragon Destiny was composed of 12 episodes which were aired between February 26 and May 14, 2007. The second season was licensed in North America by Media Blasters.
With the series’ global reach, the third and fourth seasons were also released like the first two seasons airing 12 episodes each. A 3-episode Ikki Tousen: Western Wolves was released between January and February of 2019. With that, the announcement of the adaptation of Shin Ikki Tousen came in 2021, July. The sequel Shin Ikki Tousen is produced by Arms and directed by Rion Kujo. The scripts are written by Masaya Honda.

Shin Ikki Tousen as Described in the official website says “As the new chapter, it is decided to animate “Shin Ikki Tousen” serialized in Young King Of Ours! The “death battle” that Arms deals with, far surpassing the fierce battles of the beautiful fighters so far, begins here !!”
The anime has been decided to broadcast on May 17, 2022, at 8:30 PM.
